CALL TO ORDER

 

City Clerk, Jerryl Soriano, called the regular meeting of the Community and Cultural Affairs Commission to order at 6:01 pm

 

 

SWEARING IN OF NEW COMMISSIONERS

 

City Clerk, Jerryl Soriano, swore in the 2018 Commissioners of the Community and Cultural Affairs Commission.

 

 

ROLL CALL

 

Present:  Michael Burke, Barbara Eastman, Michael Picardi, Donna Poyuzina, Main Turner.

 

 

SELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR

 

Action: Eastman moved to approve the nomination of Michael Picardi as Chair of the Community and Cultural Affairs Commission., motion seconded by Burke, motion carried 5/0 by the following vote:

 

Vote:                              AYES: 5 - Burke, Eastman, Picardi, Poyuzina, Turner            

Passed                         NOES: 0 - (None)

  

  

  

 

Action: Poyuzina moved to approve the nomination of Michael Burke and Vice Chair of the Community and Cultural Affairs Commission., motion seconded by Eastman, motion carried 5/0 by the following vote:

 

Vote:                              AYES: 5 - Burke, Eastman, Picardi, Poyuzina, Turner            

Passed                         NOES: 0 - (None)

  

  

  

 

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

 

Commissioner, Michael Burke, led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Action: Burke moved to approve the February 14, 2018 regular meeting agenda, motion seconded by Turner, motion carried 5/0 by the following vote:

Ted Mayrhofen congratulated new Commissioners on their appointments.

Recommendation:

Receive and file.

 

Community Development Director, Daniel Porras, presented the budget to the Commission and responded to questions.

 

 

2.

Mayor's Yard Beautification Awards Program

 

Community Development Director, Daniel Porras PE

 

Recommendation:

Discuss the Mayor's Yard Beautification Awards Program.

 

Community Development Director, Daniel Porras, presented the report on the Mayor's Yard Beautification Awards Program and responded to questions.

Art Inventory Program

Recommendation:

Discuss the Art Inventory Program

 

Community Development Director, Daniel Porras, presented the report on the Art Inventory Program and responded to questions.

Sub-Committee Appointments

Recommendation:

Discuss Sub-Committees and Appointments

 

The Commission discussed Sub-Committee assignments.  Commissioners will send their assignment requests to the Chair and assignments will be made at the March 14, 2018 regular meeting of the Community and Cultural Affairs Commission.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR REPORT

 

Commissioners were reminded that their Agenda Submittals for the March 14, 2018 regular meeting of the Community and Cultural Affairs Commission are due on February 27, 2018.
