Chair Meyer called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

Commissioners Present: Eastman, Kelley, Lozano, Meyer

Commissioners Absent: Duarte

Commissioner Kelley led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Action: Meyer moved to approve the October 12, 2017 Regular Meeting Agenda, motion seconded by Kelley, motion carried 4/0 by the following vote:

Vote: AYES: 4 - Eastman, Meyer, Lozano, Kelley

Passed NOES: 0 - (None)

ABSENT: 1 - Duarte

	Public Safety Commission Regular Meeting Minutes September 14, 2017
	Recommendation:	Approve Minutes as Submitted; or Corrected

Action: Lozano moved to approve the September 14, 2017 Regular Meeting Minutes, motion seconded by Eastman, motion carried 4/0 by the following vote:

ABSENT: 1 - Duarte

Cliff Lavy spoke regarding the Receivership Program.

Chief Mondary provided the Commission with an update regarding the solar speed sign. The project is moving forward.

2.	Public Safety Cadet Liaison Monthly Report
	Public Safety Cadet Liaison Andrea Rodriguez

The Public Safety Cadet Liaison gave the monthly report and responded to questions.

3.	Animal Control Monthly Report
	Riverside County Animal Control Representative

Chief Mondary gave an update on the status of the Desert Hot Springs Animal Care and Control building, staffing, etc.

4.	Fire Department Monthly Report
	Fire Chief, Mark Brooks

Fire Department representative was not present. No report was given.

5.	Code Enforcement Monthly Report
	Code Compliance Supervisor, Dave Williams

Code Enforcement representative was not present. No report was given.

6.	Police Department Monthly Report
