CALL TO ORDER

Chair Meyer called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

ROLL CALL

Commissioners Present: Eastman, Kelley, Lozano, Meyer

Commissioner Erickson resigned from the Public Safety Commission.

SELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE-CHAIR

Action: Lozano moved to approve the nomination of Commissioner Meyer to remain as the Public Safety Commission Chair, motion seconded by Eastman, motion carried 4/0 by the following vote:

Vote: AYES: 4 - Eastman, Meyer, Lozano, Kelley

Passed NOES: 0 - (None)

Action: Kelley moved to approve the nomination of Commissioner Eastman to remain as the Public Safety Commission Vice Chair, motion seconded by Lozano, motion carried 4/0 by the following vote:

Vote: AYES: 4 - Eastman, Meyer, Lozano, Kelley

Passed NOES: 0 - (None)

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Commissioner Kelley led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Vice Chair Eastman requested a moment of silence for John Glenn.

Chief Mondary introduced Desert Hot Springs newest police officer, Travis Chapman.

APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA

Action: Eastman moved to approve the December 8, 2016 Regular Meeting Agenda, motion seconded by Lozano, motion carried 4/0 by the following vote:

Action: Kelley moved to approve the November 10, 2016 Regular Meeting Minutes, motion seconded by Lozano, motion carried 4/0 by the following vote:

Officer Tooth and Probation Officer Kinder gave a presentation to the Public Safety Commission on the Post-Release Accountability and Compliance Team (P.A.C.T.); and responded to questions.

ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS:

	Public Safety Cadet Liaison, Jesus Amezquita

Public Safety Cadet Liaison, Jesus Amezquita, gave the monthly report and responded to questions.

3.	Animal Control Monthly Report

Animal Control representative gave the monthly report and responded to questions.

4.	Fire Department Monthly Report
	Fire Chief, Mark Brooks

Fire Department representative was not present. No report was given.

5.	Code Enforcement Monthly Report
	Code Compliance, Dave Williams

Dave Williams, Code Compliance, gave the monthly report and responded to questions. Dave Williams reported a Code Compliance Assistant started on November 14th, and also he accepted the position of Code Compliance Supervisor.
