Community and Cultural Affairs Commission and Art in Public Places Budget

Receive and file.

 

2.

Vets Leaf - Proposed Public Art (AIPP -4-17) (Veteran's Monument)

 

Senior Planner, Scott Taschner

 

Recommendation:

A recommendation from staff for conditional approval of the proposed public art (Veteran's Monument) for the Vets Leaf cultivation project located at the Southwest corner of Cabot Road and San Jacinto Lane, in the Light Industrial (I-L) Zone.  (APN 665-030-037)

 

3.

Memorial Day Ceremony and Budget

 

Commissioners Donna Poyuzina and Barbara Eastman

 

Recommendation:

Approve the Memorial Day 2018 Ceremony and budget to date.

 

4.

Jammin' in the Desert (Concerts in the Park)

 

Chair, Michael Picardi

 

Recommendation:

Approve the Jammin' in the Desert (Concerts in the Park) series with a total of four events at $800 per event for a total budget of $3,200.

 

5.

Entry Monument Funds

 

Public Works Administrative Assistant, Lynne Paul

 

Recommendation:

Approve the reallocation of Entry Monument Funds of  $21,520 as a committed fund into available funds of the Art in Public Places Fund.

 

6.

Martin Luther King's Birthday Peace and Unity Walk

 

Public Works Administrative Assistant, Lynne Paul

 

Recommendation:

Approve the Martin Luther King's Birthday Peace and Unity Walk as a Community and Cultural Affairs Commission event, and assign to the Special Events Sub-Committee or a new Sub-Committee with a chair determined.
