Chair Lozano called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

Action: Meyer moved to approve the April 11, 2019 Regular Meeting Agenda, motion seconded by Eastman, motion carried 4/0 by the following vote:

Public Safety Commission Regular Meeting Minutes March 14, 2019
Recommendation:	Approve Minutes as Submitted; or Corrected

Action: Meyer moved to approve the March 14, 2019 Regular Meeting Minutes, motion seconded by Eastman, motion carried 4/0 by the following vote:

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Barbara Eastman spoke about certification programs for the Desert Hot Springs residents. Genevieve Escada spoke about her concerns with juveniles causing disturbances at the local parks.

OLD BUSINESS:

1.	Fire Department Budget
	Fire Chief Ty Davis

Fire Department Budget Report presentation was rescheduled for the June 13, 2019 meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

2.	Going Dark During the Summer Months
	Vice-Chair Mayrhofen and Commissioner Meyer

Action: Eastman moved to approve going dark in summer for the month of August, motion seconded by Meyer, motion carried 3/1 by the following vote:

Passed                         NOES: 1 - Mayrhofen

ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS:

3.	Animal Control Monthly Report
	Animal Care and Control Supervisor, Stephanie Zamora

Stephanie Zamora, Animal Care and Control Supervisor, gave the monthly report and responded to questions.

4.	Public Safety Cadet Liaison Monthly Report
	Public Safety Cadet Liaison Roberto Villalba-Orozco

Roberto Villalba-Orozco, Public Safety Cadet Liaison, gave the monthly report and responded to questions.

5.	Fire Department Monthly Report
	Fire Chief, Tyrell Davis

Chief Davis gave the monthly report and responded to questions.

6.	Police Department Monthly Report
	Deputy Chief, Jim Henson

Deputy Chief Henson gave the monthly report and responded to questions.
